Tonight's Democratic debate will be live-blogged
Posted 44 weeks 17 hours ago byHi folks:
Check back here tonight -- Ben and I will be live-blogging the Democratic debate in Nevada while keeping an eye on the Republican returns from Michigan.
Probably, we'll do it as an open-thread thing: I'll start the thread on my blog, then Ben and I -- and everybody else who is hanging out -- can interact in the "thoughts" section.
Debate starts at 6 p.m. PST. (That's 8 p.m. for us Central folks.) Hope to see you here.

CNN has it Clinton 57%,

Not that it will matter a whole lot other than the aesthetics of it -- Michigan's Democratic delegates won't be allocated at all.
Re: Liveblogging the Dem Debate
Submitted on January 15th, 2008 by Jim LakelyIs it just me, or does it seem idiotic that the Dems would schedule a debate in Nevada on the same day of the Michigan primary?
It's going to be hard to compete for space in the news cycle when real voting -- rather than just talking -- will be going on in Michigan. The story of the day will not be "Obama says MLK should be respected, glares at Hillary," but "McCain surge continues" or "Romney back from the dead" or "Huckleberry's Last Chuckle."
Or did the Dems do this on purpose to further undermine the Democratic side of the Michigan vote? If so (which I consider likely), I think it will backfire -- especially if "no preference" beats Hillary, or comes in a very close second.
