Chief Justice John Roberts and the birth of American empire
Posted 28 weeks 6 days ago byLAWRENCE, Kan. -- Though he has been Chief Justice of the United States for nearly three years, John Roberts still seems to be a bit of a cipher. Yes, we know he's a conservative -- he wouldn't have the job he does today if a lot of well-placed people on the right didn't have a lot of trust in him. But I'm still not certain what that actually means for the court, and thus for the United States; I sense we still haven't seen a defining "Roberts Court" moment.
YES WE CAN... AND WE SHOULD HAVE MONTHS AGO... HOW ABOUT YES I CAN!
Posted 28 weeks 6 days ago byThere is a saying, and yes I have many to share... "we do the best we can in any given moment or we would do better." Think about that. If you could do better wouldn't you? Who wouldn't? Bottom line! Instead of "yes we can".. Obama should be preaching (because it feels to me that every time I hear Obama speak on his soapbox, he often sounds like Dr. Martin Luther King) "I will do the best I can" to bring this great country of ours back home. What is this Yes We Can verbage?
A very sad time in America.
Posted 28 weeks 6 days ago byA country gone crazy and a division based on skin color like never before. I’m not talking about Spartanburg South Carolina in 1963; I’m talking about America 2008. I read a blog this week encouraging all black Americans to join with a far left movement dedicated to the destruction of the United States of America. According to this very poorly written article by an obviously delusional gentleman, on June 21 2008 blacks throughout the world are going to refuse to speak to white people.
What's Wrong With Wright and Obama?
Posted 29 weeks 23 min ago byI watched Rev. Jeremiah Wright's speech and Q & A at the National Press Club Monday, and--no surprise--he's the same man as the one who was allegedly misrepresented in TV "sound bites." Many of us on the Republican side have been broad minded about the Obama candidacy because we, no less than our Democratic friends, would like to see the racial issue laid to rest, at least insofar as electing Presidents is concerned. It was a milestone for Kennedy in 1960 (although no Roman Catholic has been elected since--48 years).
There Must Be 50 Ways to Dump Your Pastor
Posted 29 weeks 1 hour ago by(With appologies to Paul Simon)
The problem, it all comes down to race, he said to me
The solution is simple, if you drop him gingerly
Listen and I’ll help you win the NC primary
There must be 50 ways to dump your pastor
Just find a new church, Lurch
Give up the cross, Ross
You don’t have to pray, Ray
Just get rid of Wright
Cut him off clean, Gene
You don’t have to fuss, much
Just set yourself free, Lee
And you’ll win in NC

Democrats Held Hostage: Passerby Blog
Posted 29 weeks 6 hours ago byIt has been, now more than ever, that the Democratic Party is been held hostage by the African American block of voters. The current primary election in uncertain terms, has warned that if by some chance Senator Clinton receives the nomination, there will be hell to be paid from the Black electorate. Even Senator Obama has been put on notice that it would be in his best interest to agree with the “powers that be&r
Is the Bush administration gearing up to an attack of Iran?
Posted 29 weeks 8 hours ago byWas Admiral Fallon ( former Centcom commander) , who had to resign after his Esquire's interview a few weeks ago, right all along ?
Admiral " fox " Fallon was the only " good cop " on Iran within the Bush administration's top military echelon. With him gone, nobody is standing up to the Commander in Chief and putting the brake on an open confrontation with Iran.
Why are we OK with these illegal immigrants?
Posted 29 weeks 11 hours ago byCall the Minutemen! Call Lou Dobbs! Call your member of Congress! Illegal immigrants are clearly awful, taking the jobs of Americans and disrupting our culture with their refusal to adapt to American ways!
You know who I'm talking about, don't you? The Irish of course:
