MCNASTY MCCAIN AND HIS WALGREEN SPEECH OF DREAMS FOR 2013
Posted 1 hour 57 min ago byAs I watched Senator McCain's delusional speech yesterday on how he viewed his first term in office, I couldn't help but feel I was watching a Walgreens commerical. You know the ones where life can be so wonderful if only..... as hard as I tried to stay focus on his visions of granduer, I found it completely annoying listening to him talk. Motivational speaking is not one of his qualities... In any event, I found this article and wanted to share it with you; and wanted comments on how some feel about this mans temper.
Watching Politics
Posted 10 hours 9 min ago byWATCHING POLITICS:This year, for the first time in my life, I will not be “throwing my vote away”
My first voting experience was probably similar to many “civically conscious” youths - I needed help from someone I looked up to. It’s not because I couldn’t understand the ballot or found my “chads” hanging. I needed help understanding “the system.” You know what I am talking about; I needed to figure out how this whole democracy thing really works.
History Not Politics
Posted 13 hours 6 min ago byI wrote in a review of a bio of Eisenhower that he was the last president who was sane, honest and competent at the same time. He was the man who won the greatest war in history, created the interstate highway system, enforced integration literally at the point of the bayonet, and presided over eight years of unparalleled social change and economic growth.
For these achievements he is derided as “boring” by most media types.

Truth in argument reveiled and bleached!
This time American labours got be pounded,
But he is not the hummering proletarian speach,
But he is not the Franklin Roosevelt, justly rounded!
He promissed Labours be friendly in White House,
Asking "rich" be kind to people, quite an irony.
It looked to me more like: "I'll be mersifull!"
I heard it all in USSR from Russian tirranny
Are the Democrats growing a backbone?
Posted 22 hours 5 min ago byIt certainly seems like it, and should have happen a couple of years ago.
Under the helm of Nancy Pelosi, congress voted to cut off the endless pit of Iraq's war expenditure.
Further, the dems want a new GI bill to be financed by a tax for people with an income higher than One million a year.
The troops would also benefit from shorter tour of duties in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hamas's " useful Idiots"
Posted 1 day 21 min ago byWe've always spoken to our enemies.
The United States communicated with the Nazis all during WWII through back channels in Switzerland, Vichy France, the carribean, and South America---we even traded with them. There were some nefarious reasons for these overtures including greed and treason, but for the most part the conduct was in the intrest of hastening an end to a war that killed sixty million people.
Credentials
Posted 1 day 45 min ago bySeeing as how i am the token liberal around here, I'll give you the reasons i will take zero BS from right wingers.
One Grandfather was a 32 Degree Mason and Treasurer of the Klan in Tuscaloosa Alabama.
The other was a full blooded Cossack.
My Father, my uncle and my younger bother have variously been in the Klan, the John Birch Society, the hardest shell of the Baptist Church as well as a few even more unsavory organizations.
I was five years old before i even heard the word "negro"
Democracy and Marriage Attacked in One Shot
Posted 1 day 1 hour ago byIn March of 2000, I and millions of other California residents voted for the very statute that the Supreme Court of California declared unonstitutional under the state constitution. The ruling was a four to three ruling. Thus, a law which passed by initiative with 61% of the voters approving of it was declared null and void by FOUR men and women. FOUR individuals have decided their liberal agenda means more than the combined decision of millions of California residents. 61% to 39%, that was the margin with which WE, in California, decided to uphold the true sanc
